Wishing the Phelan family love and prayers. My memories of Aunt Carol are vivid and warm, always centered around her boundless love, infectious humor, and gentle kindness. As a child, when my parents were away, staying with the Phelan family was a cherished adventure. I particularly recall one morning when Aunt Carol offered to make breakfast. Eagerly, I requested 'sunny side up' eggs. Instead of simply obliging, Aunt Carol engaged me in a conversation about the different ways eggs could be prepared. She explained the various textures and tastes, all with incredible patience and her ever present smile. While I can't recall her exact words, the feeling of being truly heard and valued has stayed with me. Aunt Carol's loving presence had a profound impact on my life. She will be deeply missed.

For the Phelan Family with love
My earliest memory of Carol is...
A weekend in late September, as a young ten year old, I was to go over to Quail Street in Albany NY where my Aunt Catherine and Uncle John had a home. I was to be taken care of overnight by my two cousins Cathy and Carol.
Scheduled for that Saturday night was a hayride for my Vincentian 5th grade class. I might have been the best dressed rider that evening. I never felt more like a prince. That was due to the great preparation provided to me by Cathy and Carol for this autumnal hayride. I remember their great care with my outfit and general appearance for this event in my fifth grade life.
In addition to this memory, I will never forget Carol's wonderful “Reuss smile” which she shared all throughout her life.
While we are not able to be with you at this time, we want you to know that both Mary and I loved Carol so much, Losing her is a great loss for our families.
