DANIEL P. ALLEN

ALBANY - Daniel Paul Allen, 37, of Albany, NY, passed away on January 29th, 2025, after a brief illness.

Better known as Dan, he was born on December 3rd, 1987, in Albany, to Susan DiStefano and the late Frank (Skip) Allen. Dan was a graduate of Shaker High School and continued his education at the UTI in Pennsylvania, where he specialized in auto mechanics and was certified with Toyota. He was a passionate and incredibly talented mechanic, with a lifelong ability to take all his "toys" apart and rebuild them. Dan especially enjoyed spending time with his son, Daniel, the most but also enjoyed motorcycle rides and being in a garage.

Dan is survived by his mother, Susan DiStefano (John Neal), his sister Jennifer (Aaron) Hollenbeck, his son, Daniel Allen and his nephew, Mark Facteau.

He is predeceased by his father Frank (Skip) Allen.

Dan will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He will be remembered for his mechanical skills, his love of motorcycles, and his dedication to his son.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A prayer service will begin at 12:00 pm. Interment in the family plot of St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands will immediately follow the service.
