ESTHER J. SAUTER
Esther Jean Sauter (Williams), 72, of Newberry, Florida, passed away on April 27th, 2021 in Gainesville, Florida, surrounded by her loving family.
Esther was born in Colonie, NY to Walton & Mary Carter Williams on November 19th, 1948. She always loved children and would babysit for free as a teenager. She went to Colonie High School and graduated in 1966. She was always a very hard worker and often worked two jobs as well as raising her five children and running a tight ship at home. She worked at the post office and ran a home daycare for several years. She moved to Florida in 1994 to escape the harsh winters of upstate New York. She went on to earn a Nursing degree from Santa Fe College. She worked UF Health on the pediatric floor and in the oncology clinic for 20 years. She loved horses, roller-skating, shopping, anything Disney and above all else, her grandchildren.
Esther is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Ronald Sauter of Newberry, Florida. He always says Esther had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. She is also survived by her five children: Laurie Williams of Averill Park, NY, Michael (Daniele Matice) Sauter of Latham, NY, David (Lynn) Sauter of Glenville, NY, Kristen (Craig) LaFollette of Newberry, FL and Julie (Jennifer) Barona of Newberry, FL. Her surviving grandchildren include Kyle, Keira, Leigh, Austin, Hannah, Amelia, Piper, Graylyn & Mackenzie.
She is also survived by her siblings: Walt (Jane) Williams, Robert Williams, Edith DePaulo and David (Joann) Williams. She was a loving Aunt to Donna (Sam) Simmons, Wes (Karen) Williams, Randy Williams, Craig (Melana) Williams & Amber Chaves.
She will be missed by lifelong friends Ursula Zeilman and Barbara DellaRocco.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, her beloved younger sister Cathy Rathbun, and her sweet grand babies Zachary & Emily Sauter.
