Obituary of Kevin A. Courter

KEVIN A. COURTER

ALBANY- Kevin A. Courter, 67 of Albany, beloved husband of Rosanne (Hollis) Courter entered into eternal life a few short hours before Rosanne on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Rosewood Gardens, in Troy.

Born in Colonie, NY on June 7, 1953, he was the son of the late Raymond Kenneth and Esther (Keeler) Courter. He served honorably in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1973. Kevin and Rosanne married on May 24, 1980 and enjoyed over 40 years of marriage together.

Kevin was a long-time member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Colonie Elks Lodge #2192.

He was employed by the Department of Parks and Recreation for New York State for many years before he retired.

Kevin is survived by his loving son Jason (Beth) Courter, his step-son Kevin (Ilenia) Barrett his adored grandchildren Brodyn, Oliver and Olivia as well as his siblings Brian (Mary) Courter, Dean Courter, and Melody Courter. He is predeceased by his brother Barry Courter.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday May 4, 2021from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home.149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY. Prayer service will take place at 7:00pm with Rev. Nick TeBordo officiating.

An interment service with full military honors will be held on Friday May 7, 2021 at 10:00am at the Saratoga National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the service should meet at the front entrance to the cemetery at 9:45 am.
