Needless to say that Ken’s sudden departure from this world has left a big hole in the hearts of many of us. As a close colleague and a supervisor, I enjoyed working with Ken for the few years I supervised him. In spite of his personal health challenges, he was doing his best. I remember how sometimes we used to go for a walk during lunch times to talk over life issues at the concourse of the Empire State Plaza. I will miss him greatly. May the Good Lord heal our wounded broken spirit, especially the family members and grant Ken a blissful place.

Ken was a friend of mine during my childhood and teen years. I am sad to hear of his passing.
I recall one time when we were about nine or ten years old, we gathered some balloons, string, tape and found a box big enough that we could sit in. We inflated the balloons, tied them to strings and taped the strings to the box...the plan was for us to fly over Latham. Unfortunately, the balloons were not floating in the air...Ken had said something about them needing to be gas balloons and I agreed (we were just kids with no clue of inert gas)...our solution was to pour gasoline (that was intended for the lawnmower) on a rag, then we wiped the balloons with the gasoline (our notion of helium), the balloons kept popping and gasoline would mist all over the place. Not soon after, my dad showed up and asked what we were doing. Needless to say, our flying over Latham experiment ended abruptly.
I have many other fond memories of Ken and the time we shared together when growing up...I will always remember them.
