Obituary of Barbara Lee Lampariello
Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Latham-Barbara Lee Lampariello was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away peacefully at her home, on March 2, 2021, with her family nearby.
She was born to John and Ruth Ashcroft on March 7, 1939. After graduating from Watervliet high school, Barbara married her high school sweetheart, Joseph "Butch" Lampariello, who preceded her in death in 1998. Together, they had 4 children: Debra, Kim, Rick (Jayne), and Wendy; 8 grandchildren: Rick Jr.(Kristina), Joseph, Jennifer (Phil), Rachel (Andrew), Blake, Serena, Jeffery and Skyler; and 6 great-grandchildren: Kelsey, Kayleigh, Dominic, Klaire, Maverick and Cameron. She was a loving and devoted mother and cherished her role as Nana and GG. Barbara was survived by her siblings, Judy (Gregory), Gary (Bonnie) and Vincent (Larisa) and preceded by John (Barbara) and Cheryl.
Barbara loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family and friends. She was a Latham resident for almost 50 years. She was also a skilled restaurateur, owning and operating Hot Dog Heaven, on Lark Street in Albany, for over 20 years. The restaurant was best known for her homemade daily specials and the warm and welcoming atmosphere. She made friends of all kinds, she never judged, and her regular customers loved her dearly.
