KATHY LOU HAEGE Clifton Park- Kathy Lou Haege, 68 of Clifton Park, beloved wife of William O. Haege., was called to eternal life on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Ellis Hospital after a brief battle with leukemia. Born in Troy, on February 7, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Florence (Lewis) Weeden. Kathy was a member and past president of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Colonie Elks Lodge # 2192, and for over 25 years was a Senior Consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ballston Spa. Kathy was employed for 33 years by the Bethlehem Central School District as an Administrative Assistant. Kathy enjoyed singing, playing guitar, and crocheting. She loved camping, the beach, and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, Kathy is survived by her ex-husband Al Lawrence, her loving children Jennifer (Matthew) Stevens and A. J. (Jennifer) Lawrence, her step daughters Melissa (Greg) Stigi and Marsha Schrader, her sisters Bette Weeden, Elinor Scanlon, Kay (Brian) Hunter, and her brother Wesley (Kathy) Weeden Jr., her cherished grandchildren Katie Lawrence, Justin Lawrence, Julia Stevens and Matthew Stevens Jr., as well as her step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, including her godson Brian Hunter Jr. Kathy was predeceased by her brother in law Robert Scanlon Sr. and her niece Charlotte Hunter Dahle. A private memorial service for Kathy will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Kelly Warner officiating in the Dufresne and Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Road Latham. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks must be worn in the funeral home at all times and social distancing guidelines must be followed. Those wishing to remember Kathy in a special way are encouraged to make donations to the American Cancer Society 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110 or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis TN. 38105.
