Obituary of Joan E. Hoffman

JOAN E. HOFFMAN Latham- Joan E. Hoffman 74 of Latham was called to eternal life on Thursday January 28 at her home. Born in Hancock, NY on October 1st 1946, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Mary L. (Cappiello) Hoffman. Joan was Chief Budget Analyst for the NYS Office of Mental Health in Albany for 16 years, retiring in 2001 after a total of 31 years with the State of New York. Joan was a Dominican Associate with the Dominican Sisters of Peace Congregation. She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham where she served as Eucharistic Minister, lector and participated in the RCIA program. . She is survived by several cousins and close friends. She is predeceased by her sister Cecelia Hoffman and her brother Frank W. Hoffman. Joans Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the convenience of the family by Reverend Geoffrey Burke in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham. Interment will take place in St. Paul the Apostle Cemetery, in Hancock NY.
