WALTER R. LALAK Halfmoon-Walter R. "Wally G." Lalak, 57 of Halfmoon, beloved husband of Laura A. James Lalak, entered into eternal life on Monday, January 11, 2021 at his home in Halfmoon with his loving family at his side. Born in Schenectady, on May 12, 1963, he was the son of Beverly Bonk Lalak and the late Walter Lalak. He worked as a respiratory therapist at the Stratton VA Hospital for many years and previously at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy New York. Wally had a special love of his Harley-Davidson, he enjoyed camping and boating. He was most happy when he was surrounded by his beautiful family. Survivors include his beloved wife Laura A. James Lalak, his loving children Alex Lalak, Casey Lalak, Blake (Alyssa) Race, Shane (Ja) Race and Dana (Stephen) Mohr, his sister Debra (Joseph) Crouse. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and the boys of summer. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated privately at the convenience of the family in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church with Rev. James Walsh officiating There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie. Donations in memory of Wally can be made to the American Heart Association 440 New Karner Rd.
