LEE WINFORD KINDER Watervliet- Lee Winford Kinder, 71 of Watervliet died Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Stratton V.A. Medical Center, in Albany. Born in, Hendricks County, Indiana on July 9, 1948, he was the son of the late Glenn and Margaret (Kollman) Kinder. He served in the Marine Corps. during the Vietnam War from 04/27/1966 to 06/30/1970. Lee was employed in management for A. Greenhouse Inc. in Colonie, for many years before retiring. He was a member of the American Legion Post #89 in Rensselaer, and enjoyed playing golf. Survivors include his wife Ellen Hicks Kinder of Watervliet and his daughter Nora A. Kinder of San Jose, CA. He was predeceased by his brother Roy Kinder. Funeral services will be held Friday February 7, 2020 at 9:00 am in the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Reverend Tom Knopka officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday from 8:30-9:00 a.m. prior to the service at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY. Interment with military honors will follow immeditaely in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. In Lieu of flowers donations to the Fisher House at the Stratton V.A Hospital 113 Holland Avenue Albany NY 12203, in Lee's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
