Obituary of Leo R Keparutis

LEO R KEPARUTIS Cohoes- Leo R. Keparutis, 81 formerly of Feura Bush, beloved husband of Suzanne (Roberts) Keparutis, was reunited with his Savior, Tuesday January 7, 2020 at his son's home in Cohoes. He was a Christian man and an integral part of Faith Journey Fellowship. Born in Lithuania on October 14, 1938, he was the son of the late Ludwig and Maria (Konig) Keparutis. Leo proudly served in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1964. He worked in the grocery and retail business. He was a farmer. He worked at Howard Engineering as a machinist. He worked for a vending company. He worked at Matchless Stove and Chimney. He retired as a bus driver for children with disabilities at Bethlehem Central School District. Leo loved spending time with his family and was an avid sports fan. He was especially fond of bowling, soccer and was a devoted fan of UCONN women's basketball. Survivors in addition to his wife include his four children Barbara Start, Marianne (David) Sargent, Kevin (Sarah) Keparutis, and Robert (Heidi) Keparutis. Leo was proud of his fifteen grandchildren Wendy, Jason, Jonathan, Molly, Jaimee, Emily, Caleb, Maxwell, Kelsey, Abigail, Isaac, Jonah, Christine, Charis, and Skye. He also had nine cherished great-grandchildren. Leo is also survived by his siblings Genia Staneski, Alan Keparutis, Bruno Keparutis, Ziggy Keparutis, and Irene Dearstyne as well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Leo's family at Faith Journey Fellowship, 16 Straight Lane Feura Bush, NY 12067 on Sunday January 12, 2020 from 1:30 pm until the start of a memorial service. The memorial service will also be held at Faith Journey Fellowship. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions in Leo's memory to be made to the Faith Journey Fellowship.
