CATHERINE A. CONROY HALFMOON - Catherine A. Conroy (Catalano, Sitts), 83, beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Conroy and late William J. Sitts, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at Schuyler Ridge Healthcare, with her loving family at her side. Born in Albany on November 6, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Edward Leo and Catherine (Sheehan) Walsh. Catherine attended and graduated from Vincentian Institute, Class of 1956. She worked the majority of her life as an Advanced Assignment Technician for NY Telephone Co in Albany. Catherine will always be remembered as living life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling, spending summers in Maine, and striking up a good conversation with anyone and everyone. She was truly the life of the party. Family meant the world to Catherine, especially her grandchildren, and she will be forever cherished and eternally loved by those she leaves behind. Catherine was devoted mother to Carol (Walter) McNall, Catherine (Fred) Alund, Michael (Tammy) Catalano, and George Catalano; Stepmother to Dawn (Dan) Kaufman; "Grammy" to Alex (Rachel) Alund, Ryan McNall, Shannon (Jon) McNall, and Jake Catalano; "Grandma Catherine" to Gaby, Camden, Kieran, and Aiden Kaufman. Also survived by her sister Mary Grace (Gene) Salamon, dear nieces and nephew Katy, Tim, and Amy, several great-nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as a soon to be great grandson. Catherine will be especially missed by her "Grand-dogs" whom she cared for and loved just the same as her grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 30th, 2021, 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Church Of Crescent, 86 Church Hill Road, Waterford with Fr. Joseph Cebula officiating.
