Obituary of Patricia J. Hansen

PATRICIA J. HANSEN Colonie-Patricia J. Hansen, of Colonie, beloved wife of the late Keith C. Hansen Sr. for over 54 years, entered into eternal life on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Albany Memorial Hospital with her loving family at her side. Born in Albany on Valentine's day February 14, she was the daughter of the late Charles U. and the late Jane (Dowse) Hill Sr. She graduated magna cum laude from Hudson Valley Community College in 1988 and pursued her bachelor's degree SUNY Albany. Pat was the Assistant Director of the South Mall Towers in Albany for over 25 years until her retirement in 2015. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Albany. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening and bird watching. Pat treasured the times she spent at her camp in Paradox Lake with her family and friends. She was a very generous contributor to many charitable organizations. Survivors include her loving children Keith "Casey" (Heather) Hansen Jr. of Albany, Kent (Kellie) Hansen of Troy, Kimberly (PJ Beaudry) Hansen of Loudonville her cherished grandchildren Chelsea Woods, Ryan Hansen, Conner Hansen, Justin Hansen, Dylan Hansen, Ian Hansen, Abigail Hansen and Giana Hansen. Her siblings Mary Walczyck, Susan Kenneally, Nancy Hill, John Hill, Dwight Hill and Ella Rozonewski. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Pat was predeceased by her brother Charles Hill Jr. and sister Beverly Olander. Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, Interment will be next to her beloved husband in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the nurses of the cardiac care unit, ICU nursing staff, 4th floor nursing staff, respiratory, transport and PT teams all at Albany Memorial Hospital, Dr. Harold Sukol and all the other Doctors who treated her with love, kindness, compassion and extended her life since she became ill four years ago.
