JOAN ANN LaMALFA SENICK Latham-Joan Ann LaMalfa Senick, 75 of Latham, beloved wife of the late Frederick W. Senick, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy with her loving daughter at her side. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Margaret Mallock LaMalfa. Raised in Latham where she resided for over 70 years, Joan was a graduate of Watervliet High School class of 1959 and attended Hudson Valley Community College completing a variety of business courses within her field. Joan married her beloved Frederick W. Senick on April 24, 1960 and the two shared a beautiful marriage of 37 years prior to his passing January 29, 1997. She was employed by Montgomery Wards in the accounting office from 1960 until 1983, Grassland in Latham from 1983 until 1988 in the accounting department. Joan retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 1997 after 10 years of service. She loved her family and the times she spent with all of them. Joan loved working around her yard and most of all spending time with her only granddaughter. She was very active at St. Ambrose Church as an usher and volunteering in the food pantry. Survivors include her loving daughter who she lived with over the years and who has taken care of her through her disease of Supra Neuro Palsy, Denise A. (David) Senick-Pirri, cherished granddaughter Juliana Pirri, brother Robert (Lori) LaMalfa. She is also survived by her brother-in-law John Senick, sister-in-law Jean (Edward) Kucskar, sister-in-law Suzanne (Stanley) Novak and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday May 21, 2016 at 10:00 am in St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday May 20, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY. Interment will be next to her husband in Memory Garden's in Colonie. Donations to the Community Hospice Gift Processing Center 310 South Manning Boulevard Albany, New York 12208 would be appreciated.
