CLARA FERRARA Cohoes-Clara Ferrara, 97 of Cohoes, beloved wife of the late Rufus J. Ferrara, entered into eternal life Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at her home in Cohoes with her loving family at her side. Born in Gloversville, NY on December 9, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Emilia Perrela Riccitiello. She was a graduate of Gloversville high school. She was happily married to Rufus J. Ferrara for over 66 years until his passing September 24, 2010. Clara was the Assistant to the Principal at St. Ambrose School in Latham for many years where she loved and nurtured the children. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Ambrose Church. Her greatest joy in life was her family who she enjoyed cooking for on every holiday and special occasion. Survivors include her loving son Ralph C. Ferrara and his wife Barbara of Washington DC, her adored granddaughter Mia Ferrara of Washington DC, her brother Salvatore Riccitiello and many nieces and nephews. Clara was predeceased by her beautiful daughter Lucia Ann Ferrara. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday April 29, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday from 9:30 - 10:30 am at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY. Entombment will be next to her husband and daughter in the family mausoleum at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery Johnstown.
