Latham - Sheila M. Barrett, 85 of Latham, beloved wife of the late James L. Barrett, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 11, 2008 in the comfort of her home in Latham with her loving family at her side. Born in Adams, MA, she was the daughter of the late Norbert B. and Ethel M. (Mooney) Shay. Sheila was an Executive Secretary, with Albany International in Menands, for many years until retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Marian Apostolate of the Suffering and a communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham. She was the dear sister of Joseph (Carolyn) W. Shay of Lake George and Patricia N. Glenning of Albany, Sheila is also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Noma Clapp and 2 brothers, Norbert Shay & Paul Shay Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday October 14, 2008 at 11:00 am in St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. Francis DuBois, officiating. Calling hours are private at the convenience of the family. Sheila will be interred next to her late husband in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
