CATHERINE F. SAWICKI Latham- Catherine F. Sawicki, 92 of Latham, beloved wife of the late Edward W. Sawicki, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2108. Born in Latham on December 24, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William and Viola (Bernacki) Bolivia. Catherine attended Watervliet High School. She was employed as a cashier at Albany Public Market and Grand Union in Latham for many years and a longtime communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham. She is survived by her loving children Helen M. (John) Boscherini of Glenville and Edward L. (Maria) Sawicki of Braintree, MA as well as her 6 cherished grandchildren and 4 adored great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents Catherine was predeceased by her sister Helen B. DeLalla. Relatives and friends are invited to Catherine's Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated on Thursday March 22, 2018 12:00 noon at St. Ambrose Church 347 Old Loudon Rd. Latham, with Rev. John Cairns officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Catherine's memory to the charity of one's choice. Entombment will take place alongside her beloved husband in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
