Obituary of Prisco L. Arpaia

PRISCO L. ARPAIA Latham- Prisco L. Arpaia, 44 of Latham, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, August 18, 2017 in the comfort of his home. Born in Troy on August 10, 1973, he was the son of the late Luigi and Maria C. (Parillo) Arpaia. He was a graduate of South Colonie High School and Hudson Valley Community College. Prisco married the former Lisa M. Liburdi on July 28, 2001 and the two shared a devoted union of 16 years together prior to his passing. Prisco was a Principal Clerk with the NYS Department of Higher Education in Albany for 18 years. Following that he worked in the call center at Davis Vision in Latham. Prisco's family meant the world to him and he loved them dearly, he also loved traveling and taking them on long trips. He also enjoyed swimming and playing board games. In addition to his devoted wife Lisa, he is survived by his adored sons: Joseph "Joey" P. Arpaia and Brian J. Arpaia as well as his loving sister: Antoinette (Vincenzo) Sposito of Watervliet, Father In Law: David V. Liburdi Sr., and his niece Paola Sposito and nephews Jacob and Ryan Rasberry. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday August 22 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Prisco's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday August 23 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Fr. Geoffrey Burke officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Prisco's memory to the Autism Society of the Greater Capital Region, 101 State St, Schenectady, NY 12305.
