ROGER A. CLEMENTE Clifton Park-Roger A. Clemente, 94 of Clifton Park, beloved husband of Antoinette (Ann) M. Marchese Clemente, entered into eternal life Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's, in Albany with his loving wife and children at his side. Born in Troy, NY on October 20, 1922, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Madalena Valente Clemente. Roger married the love of his life Antoinette M. Marchese on November 25, 1950 and the two have shared a beautiful marriage of over 66 years. Roger was a graduate of LaSalle Institute Class of 1940 and attended R.P.I. in Troy for a brief time before he made the decision to join his family's business in Sand, Gravel and Ready Mix. Being young and full of desire, he had a great passion for producing concrete. He held that passion his whole life and was always gaining knowledge about the plants and equipment needed to do so. In 1957, he and his brother Frank started their own concrete company called Latham Ready Mix which later became Clemente Latham Concrete. The business grew and produced concrete for many of the great structures we see in our area today. The south mall, the twin bridges, the Latham circle to name a few, as well as the countless homes that have been built in the Capital District area. As they grew they began acquiring more businesses, always relating to the protection of their main interest of supplying good quality concrete to homes & businesses in our area. He was a devoted family man married 66 years to Antoinette. He loved his 4 children and was a sincere, simple man of very few needs. He had a home in Lake George for many years, where his family and friends were always welcome. He spent many enjoyable weekends there and many great meals. Beyond his business and family, Lake George and vacationing in Hollywood Florida with his wife and son Chris, were his real passions. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his beloved wife he is survived by his four loving sons: Roger A. Clemente Jr. of Latham, Peter (Diane) Clemente of Troy, Mark (Linda) Clemente and Christopher Clemente of Clifton Park, four cherished grandchildren: Jason (Kimberly) Clemente, Kevin (Lauren) Clemente, Michael (Jessica) Clemente and Laura (James) Harding, six adored great grandchildren as well as his sisters: Vonnie Caldwell and Angela Nigro and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings: Rose Cronin, Carmine Clemente, Nellie Soderman, Sara Clemente and Frank Clemente.
