|  MARY C. ROMANSKI Latham - Mary C. Romanski, 89 of Latham, beloved wife of the late Edward A. Romanski, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 13 in the comfort of her home. Born in Troy on March 15, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Mabel (Hunt) Carabis. Mary was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and went on to Albany Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1943. She was married to Edward Romanski, and the two shared a blessed union of 59 years prior to his passing on April 7, 2006. At one time she was employed with the Albany Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse, eventually retiring after many years of dedicated care and service. She was also an American National Red Cross Nurse during World War II. Mary is survived by her loving children: Lin A. & Brian McGlinchey of Rexford and Stephen E. & Laurie Romanski of Schoharie. Her cherished granddaughter Carrie McGlinchey-Wilson of Latham and her 2 adored great granddaughters; Sarah Jean & Samantha Rose Wilson who she will finally be able to see from heaven. She is also survived by her sister: Anne Carabis of Latham and several nieces and nephews. Mary is predeceased by her 2 brothers Benard & Edward Carabis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday from 4-7 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Cohoes.
