ZORA F. EMERICK

COHOES- Zora F. Emerick, 86, of Cohoes, passed away Monday February 15, 2010 at Community Hospice at Memorial Hospital in Albany.

Born in Troy on May 30, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Effie F. (Ives) Hoffman. Zora was joined in union to Lloyd "Pete" Emerick on June 23, 1945, and the two shared a blessed union of almost 65 years together.

At one time Zora was the Bookkeeper for Emerick Farm Equipment in Cohoes, she then worked in the same position for Stantz Combustion Comp. & Collins Lumber where she eventually retired from after many years of service. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary at Colonie Elks Lodge #2192 as well as the Ladies Auxillary of the Boght Corners Fire Dept.

Zora is survived by her beloved husband; Lloyd "Pete" Emerick at home, her loving children; Donna Sharron of Clifton Park and Robert Emerick of Virginia. She is also survived by her 5 cherished grandchildren; Melissa, Janice, Allison, Hannah & Mary Jane as well as her sister Dorthea Laughlin of Virginia and stepsister MaryLou Lamb of Halfmoon.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday from 4-7 P.M. at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.

A Celebration of Zora's life will be held Thursday at 1:30 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Rev. David Bissett will officiate.

Interment will take place in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
